The 2010 Awards Dinner was held at the Gawler Room in the Ulverstone Civic Centre on Friday 29th October 2010. About 150 people attended

THE "SUCCESSFUL STARTUP" AWARD - sponsored by SeaFm / 7AD and presented by Sylvia Sayers - This category is open to innovative businesses that have commenced operations in the last 5 years and generate economic growth for the Central Coast. The judges will be looking for businesses that have a unique competitive advantage that ensures they are sustainable in the medium to long term. - WINNER - LANCASTER HOUSE
THE "SMALL HOSPITALITY BUSINESS" AWARD - sponsored by Cradle Coast Authority and presented by Paul O'Halloran MP - This category is open to hospitality operators with up to 15 full time equivalent employees and recognises the special contribution that the small business sector makes to Central Coast’s tourism industry. The judges will pay particular attention to how you manage to achieve all-round business excellence as a small hospitality operator. WINNER - PEDROS RESTAURANT
THE "OUTSTANDING VISITOR EXPERIENCE" AWARD - sponsored by The Advocate and presented by Rob Watt This category is open to tourism and hospitality businesses/or events that can demonstrate their commitment in consistently delivering an exceptional visitor experience which allows them to stand out from their competitors. WINNER - WINGS WILDLIFE PARK
THE "BETTER WORKPLACE" AWARD - sponsored by Telstra and presented by Brett Wilson from Codas - This category is open to organisations/businesses/associations that can demonstrate they provide modern workplace practices and a stimulating and supportive workplace. WINNER - BEECHWORTH SPRAYING
THE "BEST ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICE" AWARD - sponsored by Veolia Environmental Services and presented by Bryan Green MP - This category recognises businesses and organizations that have made a strong commitment to environmental improvement as part of their day to day operations. THE "EXCELLENCE IN MANUFACTURING" AWARD - sponsored by Enterprise Connect and presented by Sarah Jones - The Excellence in Manufacturing category is open to Central Coast manufacturing firms who have achieved commercial success through innovative and progressive manufacturing capabilities. WINNER - DOBMAC MACHINERY
THE "ENHANCING REGIONAL CULTURE" AWARD - sponsored by Central Coast Council and presented by Acting Mayor Jan Bonde - This category is open to sporting and arts groups, festival, cultural and community events and organisations/businesses/associations that positively impact on and generate outcomes that have long term benefits for the cultural lifestyle of the Central Coast Region. THE "ENTREPRENEURIAL" AWARD - sponsored by Goodstone Entertainment and presented by Acting Mayor Jan Bonde - This category is open to organisations/businesses/associations that have achieved outstanding commercial success and sustainable growth. THE "EXCELLENCE IN MARKETING" AWARD - sponsored by Southern Cross and presented by Adam Brooks MP - This category is open to organisations/businesses/associations that can demonstrate sustained marketing excellence that has driven business improvement over time. WINNER - MIDWAY FURNITURE

THE "OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE" AWARD - sponsored and presented by Sue Smith MLC - This category recognises and encourages outstanding customer service given by any person in the retail industry in the Central Coast municipality. WINNER - KAREN JACKSON - LEVEN TRADERS
THE "CENTRAL COAST YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR" AWARD - sponsored by Penguin Composites and presented by David Mercer - This category recognises and encourages the achievements of a young professional aged between 20-40 who has demonstrated a noteworthy commitment to excellence, innovation and the community in his/her profession and worked to promote their profession as a whole. WINNER - SIMON NELL from CHECKERBOARD PROJECTS
THE "BUSINESS OF THE YEAR" AWARD - sponsored by Central Coast Chamber of Commerce & Industry and presented by Bryan Green MP - This category is not open for entry. The winner of this award will be selected by the Award Judges from the 2010 Category Winners. WINNER - DENDRA GARDENS
